1. Categorically, the strength of the country is measured in proportion to economic resilience. Firepowers and military powers are only peripherals of economic behemoths. And achieving economic independence always determines the world’s superpowers. These are the thresholds that low-income countries and low-income developing countries meet with different probabilities based on various factors.
2. After attaining middle income status, Ghana was on the path of rapid economic progress until the outbreak of COVID-19. This global cancer is spreading to economies around the world, crippling the vast and leaving vulnerable people in despair, with the situation made worse by the Russia-Ukraine war. Today, the world is telling us about an unprecedented economic downturn.
3. The impact of the global economic crisis has gravitated Ghana from a fast-growing middle-income economy to a low-middle-income country. And this should teach a lesson about “economic consolidation”. We must follow the path of the world’s high-income countries. They strive to maintain the economic threshold through strong institutions that continuously improve human resource capabilities, ensure better and standard health care, promote growth and technological skills, and create more jobs to increase per capita income through industrialization, etc.
4. We need to bridge the gaps in our economy to withstand domestic and external shocks, and quickly recover from the inevitable economic crisis. This will ensure sustainable economic growth.
5. After the economic recession, Ghana definitely needs a pragmatic and massive transformation plan. A lot of natural resources have endowed us with, Ghana has to shoulder some difficulties with some of the giants of the global economy with strategic planning and governance. This was the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the past, and it is very much present.
6. Therefore, there is every justification why the majority of Ghanaians believe in the competence of the New Patriotic Party to improve their lot over other political parties in the country in this 4th Republic.
7. Even in the face of economic turmoil unparalleled in recent global history, the governance of the New Patriotic Party in Ghana has been remarkable. In order to gain the continued support and patience of Ghanaians, the party must choose a successor who is not only based on the party’s tradition. What is more important is the immeasurable experience of the new leader, in politics and in personal life, and immeasurable knowledge to complete the economic recovery process quickly, and lead the country on the path of sustainable growth and development. This is where John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen comes into the picture.
8. Synopses of the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) put Ghanaians in the picture of a prosperous Ghana in the foreseeable future. Alan Kyerematen is set to:
i. Building a Strong Microeconomic Environment.
ii. Lead the New Agricultural Revolution
Industrial Transformation.
iii. Accelerating the Transformation of our Industry
iv. Ensuring the Acceleration of Infrastructure Development.
v. Complete Digital Mainstreaming.
i. Ensuring Energy Security and Diversification
vii. Prioritize Decarbonisation and Climate Resilience
vii. Ensuring National Security and Defense Optimization
ix. Consider Downsizing Government.
x. Lead Strategic Engagement With the International Community.
9. Ghana has potential and will shine in all of Africa under the leadership of John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
