Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on March 23 before facing Black Antelope three days later in Luanda as they aim to book a place in next year’s tournament.
The GFA said Hughton would be on public display and would be allowed to engage with the media about his vision and expectations.
“Black Stars coach Chris Hughton will be announced in Kumasi on Monday, March 20, 2023, as part of preparations for the match against Angola,” the statement was read.
“The former manager of Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur will be given the media to share his vision, ideology and hope with the people of Kumasi.
“The first engagement between coaches and the media in Kumasi will be a platform for the Football Association to also announce targets, terms of engagement, and other relevant information on the manager’s job.”
Meanwhile, Hughton has named a 25-man squad to face Angola in the second-header AFCON qualifier.
The squad contains some regular faces, including Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey and the Ayew brothers, Andre and Jordan.
