CSSPS is the only system used by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to place qualified Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in Senior Secondary Schools (SHS), Technical Institutes (TI), and Vocational Institutes across the country.
GES prays for the trustees to be on the lookout for fraudsters and help report them to the nearest police station for prosecution to prevent others from participating in the annual event.
“Management is very careful with the general public not to fall prey to fraudsters who may approach them to pay money for a place in SHS. They should be reported to the Police immediately.”
It added that trustees should be wary of fake news that could mislead them into being victims of placement scams and advised the public to use the official GES handle for inquiries or issues.
“We also advise the general public to be wary of fake news portals and follow GES official social media; Facebook (ges.gov.gh), Twitter (@gheduservice), Instagram (@gheduservice), and website (ges.gov. gh) for reliable information.
“The Ghana Education Service (GES) remains committed to ensuring a smooth and merit-based SHS placement process in accordance with established guidelines and looks forward to your full cooperation,”
