George Santos Lies About Reason For Local Lawmaker’s Visit

On Thursday, Santos tweeted that he wanted to say thank you Nassau County Legislature Josh Lafazan for stopping by his office in Douglaston, in the Queens borough of New York City, and saying “meIt is good to sit down and discuss the concerns expressed in the letter you brought.

At first glance, it seemed mild, but Lafazan was quick to tweet back to Santos that the scenario depicted was not the case:

“Let’s be very clear: I did not ‘stop by’ your office.

I hosted a protest ‘outside’ your office asking you to resign, and then sent you a letter telling you not to waste police resources.

Can’t say I’m surprised you chose to distort the truth here – you’re so good.

HuffPost reached out to Santos’ office for comment, but no one immediately responded.

However, Lafazan’s fraud allegations came just days after Santos admitted to Piers Morgan that he had been a “terrible liar,” saying that the scheme was not about deceiving voters, but would be “accepted by the party here locally.”

Not surprisingly, many Twitter users mocked Santos for his false claims.
