Garcelle Beauvais‘son Oliver Saunders handled the media backlash against him Rachel Lewis between them deal with Tom Sandoval, Erika Jayne his cousin’s curse, bot attack, and new cheating accusations.
32 years, which has been shown in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules, made headlines after kissing Raquel. And according to Oliver’s ex-wife, the romance with Raquel happened before the breakup.
In an interview for Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, Oliver defends Raquel (who reportedly slept with her best friend Ariana Madixhis girlfriend) against the media reaction.
“It’s not the right thing for other people, but that’s how they live. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s crazy that so many people try to crucify him for this… as if he never made a mistake, or never made the right choice wrong before. It’s human.”
He added, “You think I’m wrong how many people I feel are so quick to judge or speak negatively about someone without knowing who they really are.”
When asked about his hatred for Tom and his hatred for Raquel, Oliver said, “I don’t know if it’s like a double standard, like men and women enter things by cheating.” [controversy.] I really don’t know what it is, why people are fueled by him, as opposed to both sides.
Oliver shared that he and Raquel keep in touch. “We have it [another] episode coming in the next week or two, I believe, [of when] I went to the Pump with my mom and Lisa, and we got picked up at the Pump, then Raquel and I went out to dinner in Beverly Hills. So we talked a little after that. We have not spoken [since],” he replied. “We don’t keep in touch, no.”
The star claimed that he separated from his wife when their romance with Raquel took place. “Honestly, I was separated when we were shooting the show, even a few months ago… I remember after filming, I took an Uber back to my apartment. So we’ve been through things before, obviously, you know, the kiss didn’t make things right friendly or something. But we were separated and at that time just trying to, just trying to understand it.
He then mentioned the accusations of infidelity from his ex-wife: “When the mother of my child … out of the way she talks about me and like that, which is not true, Lisa approached me … because I, I don’t know. ‘I don’t know how to feel going to work… I don’t know if it’s going to be like animosity, if some people are going to feel some kind of way… Lisa’s like, listen, there’s always scandals. She’s like, I’ve dealt with scandals a million times worse. You know, he was like, it will be said in a day or two and everything will be back to normal.
He also claims he “doesn’t know” how Lala Kentrung felt him during his courtship with Raquel.
“I thought, you know, if we’d run into each other, maybe [Lala and I will] have a conversation and we will take it from there,” he said. “If we meet again, it will be good. I would love to see him.
Discuss the new job at Lisa Vanderpump‘s Vegas restaurant, Oliver said he and the boss had a talk right after he was hired.
“[Lisa] like, you know, ‘I really like you’ and everything. And he was like, ‘but don’t mess with me. I’m a lion.’ And I was like, ‘oh, I won’t. I never, I never will.’”
He then said, “I’ll tell you, Lisa, why he’s so strong, rich, smart. It’s not by accident… I really don’t believe it. [in] any coincidences, especially when it comes to Lisa… Lisa is definitely calculated, you know, she is, she did it, man. He was serious. He doesn’t play.”
When asked if he considered dating RHOBAErika – who came to her mother’s birthday party – Oliver replied, “My mother will, I, of course … I have a lot going on in my life. I will skip and avoid this one.
He was also asked which is worse: bring Erika or Add Chest to his mother’s house.
“I didn’t even think I’d make it to the door. That’s funny… I wouldn’t even make it to the gate. Mom doesn’t have it.”
Address the scandal earlier in the last season of RHOBA – when Erika drunkenly told her younger son Garcelle to get “f ** k” out of the room – Oliver suggested it was made into a bigger deal than it really is.
“My brother wasn’t arrested … I think, you know, the drinks were flowing. I made no excuses for him. You know, he’s out of line, but I don’t think that’s as crazy… as out to be. Mainly because my sister, like, I checked [him] after it happened and I was like, ‘bro, you good?’ And he was like, ‘Yeah…’ What are you saying? Like, I’m not even tripping.’”
Oliver claimed he was “not surprised” to hear of a new bot attack on his brother that probably came from Rinna or Diana Jenkins. “I don’t think it’s going to be the craziest thing,” he said. “I guess we will, we’ll wait and see.”
He also shared why he left Los Angeles: “The reason I moved to Las Vegas from LA was to get away from the lifestyle I was living. And it’s funny, people are like, you move to Vegas to stop partying. And it’s like, you know what? I just have to get out of LA. I want to be close enough to my family that I can still go back. But for years I have prayed and tried to do all kinds of different things to try to get my addiction and stuff under control. And I remember after my son was born, like a switch this light is just changing.
