Governor of Kano StateAbdullahi Ganduje, has sacked the State Commissioner for Religion, Muhammad Adam, popularly known as ‘Baba Impossible’.
The Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Muhammad Garba, announced this to journalist it’s saturday
Mr. Garba said the commissioner was removed for disloyalty to the constituted authority and unguarded utterances.
The sack was put into effect immediately, he said.
“The sacking of the commissioner and the member of the state executive council follows the disrespectful attitude of a public servant holding a sensitive position, as well as unguarded speech,” said Mr. Garba.
The information commissioner said the embattled officials were also found to open office affairs as private business and unilaterally reduce the working day for ministry staff, exempting Wednesday and Friday.
In addition to operating without consultation, Mr. Adam has been disloyal to the government, he said.
He announced that the governor had nominated Nazifi Ishaq, as his replacement.

The Regent wished the sacked commissioner good luck in the future.
However, the sacked commissioner, Mr. Adam, told reporters that he was not sacked but submitted his resignation letter to the government formally on Friday.
Although, he did not say how he gave his resignation letter, the former commissioner said that the government lied, and acted badly, by announcing his dismissal on Saturday.
