Frank Acheampong scores in Dalian Yingbo’s win over Shandong Taishan
Frank Acheampong delivered a decisive performance as Dalian Yingbo beat Shandong Taishan 3-1 in the Chinese Super League, scoring the opener and later providing a key assist.
The Ghanaian winger broke the deadlock on 16 minutes, timing his run perfectly before calmly sweeping a leftâfooted finish into the bottom corner after a clever pass from Cephas Malele. Malele then doubled the lead with a clinical strike from the centre of the box, putting Dalian firmly in control.
Shandong hit back through Valeri Qazaishvili’s precise effort from the left side of the area, but Acheampong helped restore Dalian’s cushion early in the second half. Bursting forward on a fast break, he fed Nicolae Stanciu, who rifled a shot into the topâright corner to make it 3â1 and effectively settle the contest.
Acheampong’s display continues an impressive 2026 league campaign in which he has made 18 appearances, scoring six goals and adding four assists. With momentum building, Dalian Yingbo now turn their attention to cup action, facing Henan FC on July 21, where the Ghanaian’s pace and direct threat will again be vital.
