Earlier, Addai-Nimoh stated that Ghana needs a leader who is practical, honest, and capable of being the President, his main motivation for seeking the highest office in the land with the NPP.
He said that the agenda of NPPP to break 8 can only be achieved if new faces are introduced as party candidates for the general elections.
He contested the NPP presidential election in 2014 and lost.
Addai-Nimoh’s first election campaign saw him elected Member of Parliament in 2008 for Mampong Constituency in the Ashanti region, serving with the NPP until 2017.
He serves as the Ranking Member of Parliament on the Environment, Science and Technology Select Committee.
Although unknown at first, Addai-Nimoh ran in the 2014 NPP flag bearer leadership race and was 3 out of 7 candidates, while Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was the party leader.
