Fox News Pundit Serves Up Shockingly Ludicrous Take On Right-Wing Protesters

Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), now a Fox News contributor, made an inaccurate statement about the difference between conservative and progressive protests on Thursday.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity did a segment that said the “left” was defending riots in 2020, then brought in Chaffetz and former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to comment.

“When I see conservatives, Republicans, showing up to protest, they’re carrying American flags,” Chaffetz said. “When these people show up to protest, they bring gas masks because they’re going to hit some people and knock some heads and throw some things.”

“And the poor law enforcement officers have to put up with this garbage? At least we support our law enforcement, they value their lives, they shouldn’t have to deal with this garbage every night.

“Jason, that’s really good about law enforcement,” Bondi replied.

Chaffetz and Bondi ignored the brutal attacks on law enforcement by right-wing protesters during the January 6, 2021 attack on the US Capitol by Donald Trump supporters.

Chaffetz was right because some carried flags – but some used flagpoles to beat police officers and break doors and windows.

Hannity noted that he had condemned both the 2020 protests and the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Twitter users were quick to check on Chaffetz:
