Fox News personality Pete Hegseth is joining conservative networks against Donald Trump’s impeachment with a prediction about the former president’s mugshot, if it will happen next week.
“It was a terrible night for our republic, but politically it was a good night for Donald Trump,” Hegseth said on Thursday’s broadcast of “Hannity.”
“That’s all,” he insisted.
“You remember the mugshots of Elvis and Frank Sinatra and Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix and Mick Jagger turned them into icons even bigger than they were,” Hegseth continued. “If there’s a mug shot of Donald Trump, it’s going to be in his dorm room and on his t-shirt, making him a hero. It will. And it’s right.”
Hegseth said Trump, a self-proclaimed billionaire, has been accused of paying porn star Stormy Daniels weeks before the 2016 election “to symbolize what the elite and the power-hungry will do when they have the power.”
“You just gave me the next business idea, why did you do it?” host Sean Hannity jokingly answered Hegseth’s mugshot musings. “That’s a good idea.”
Elsewhere on Fox News, Greg Gutfeld suggested that the accusations exaggerate Trump’s “people’s hero status”, Laura Ingraham compared it to “Stalin’s purge” and Tucker Carlson called the attack “bigger” on democracy than Trump’s attack on January 6, 2021. rebellion.
Jesse Watters, meanwhile, warned: “There is a rally-around-the-flag main feeling. I’m starting to feel it now. I’m angry. I’m not happy. This country will not stand. And people are more careful. And that’s all I will say .”
