The Bafana Bafana striker said he was happy to join the club as it was his childhood dream to play in England.
Forster, who is a former Orlando Pirates player, was announced as Burnley’s new signing by coach Vincent Kompany, with the striker moving from KVC Westerlo in Belgium for a reported fee of €7 million (around R131 million).
The former Pirates development striker’s international career began in Monaco in France in 2019 and since then, he has never looked back.
“I’m happy to be here, and I feel blessed and grateful for the opportunity, I can’t wait to get started,” the 22-year-old forward told Burnley media.
“Honestly, I was very surprised. At the time I was on holiday, my agent called me and told me that there was interest from Burnley. From that moment on, my heart and everything was set on the club and I was just counting the days to get here. I’m just very happy here .
“I came through the ranks of Orlando Pirates, I was there for a while and I loved the year there. Then I went to Monaco, some time in Belgium, Portugal and back to Belgium.
“English football in general is the league we all follow. So, when I was little, it was always a dream to come to England. Like I said when I got the call that Burnley wanted me, it was unreal. It was a little dream for me.”
