Former WH Chief Of Staff Contradicts Trump On Epstein Files

He thinks it’s because it isn’t a hoax at all.

However, Mulvaney doesn’t think anything in the so-called Epstein files will connect the president to the disgraced financier and convicted sex offender for a very simple reason.

“If there was something in the files that was particularly damning about Donald Trump, the files would have been released by the Biden administration,” Mulvaney said.

The former Trump aide assumes the unreleased Epstein case information is probably “damning of very important people on both sides of the political aisle, which is why Trump doesn’t want to release it and why Biden didn’t release it either.”

“There’s photographs of them together,” Mulvaney said. “So if there’s a file somewhere, which I assume there is… I have to imagine his name is on the list someplace.”

Mulvaney’s response suggested he didn’t disagree with Trump about the allegation.

“Baselessly?” Mulvaney said, before shrugging. “Eh, OK.” He claimed he was kidding when Hasan pressed him on it.

“Is Bill Clinton on the list?” Mulvaney asked.

“You were chief of staff at the time [and] you didn’t come out and correct him, so maybe you do share that insane view,” Hasan said.

“Not my job,” Mulvaney said.

“That literally is your job as chief of staff,” Hasan countered, while Mulvaney demurred, “No, no.”

After Mulvaney claimed the job of chief of staff was to give the president good information, Hasan then insisted Mulvaney “failed,” since the president retweeted a post suggesting, without evidence, that Clinton could have killed Epstein.

A short time later, Mulvaney attempted to help Trump by noting that Epstein was eventually banned from Mar-a-Lago “for being too weird,” to which Hasan responded, “He also said Epstein’s a terrific guy who likes younger women, so… ”
