
Meadows, Trump’s last chief of staff, received the subpoena “in January,” CNN reported.
The outlet reported that special counsel Jack Smith’s office is seeking testimony and documents related to the attack. Smith was also tasked with investigating the former president’s wrongdoing regarding classified documents.
“We’re going to take the case as far as we can, if necessary to the Supreme Court of the United States, because to me, it’s — it’s a separation of powers issue,” Pence said.
