According to reports, the deceased, Major Rtd. Alberta Adwoa Boatemaa Oquaye died on Saturday, March 5, 2023.
News of the death of the mother of Mike Ocquaye Junior, the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Free Zone Authority and former High Commissioner of Ghana to India on his Facebook page.
Ambassador Mike Ocquaye Junior therefore requested the prayers of Ghanaians for his almost 79-year-old father, himself and the rest of the family.
Late Mrs Oquaye was a retired Nursing Officer at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
He wrote “it is with great sadness that I have to share the news of the death of our mother; Maj. Rtd. Alberta Adwoa Boatemaa Oquaye. Let us all pray for the husband and father of Rt.Hon. Prof Oquaye, the son of Ambassador Mike Oquaye Jnr and the whole family . Damirifa Due. Yes wor ojogban.”
