A former player for Las Vegas Raiders has been arrested along with seven other people as part of a huge human trafficking bust in Georgia.
Eric D. Johnson (not to be confused with Grammy-nominated singer with the same name) has promise NFL career in the early 2000s. He played for the Raiders from 2000 to 2003 before moving on Atlanta Falcons in 2004 and settled in with Arizona Cardinals in 2005. Ex-linebacker made a big name for himself in Super Bowl XXXVII with an impressive play where he blocked a punt and returned it for a touchdown in 2003.

At the end of his career, Johnson moved to Georgian troops arena team in Gwinnett County – where they will be tied to some terrible crimes…
The 46-year-old was indicted earlier this month for what law enforcement described as “41 predicates and clear actions” committed by the gang involved between October 2021 and July last year, according to the Attorney General. Chris Carr in a press release from earlier this month. The gang, known as the Last One To Take Over (LOTTO) or 30%, maintains its power through violence and other means. Johnson is believed by prosecutors to have participated in the human trafficking of four women and one minor girl as a ringleader in the operation.
A total of eight people arrested, six men and two women, spent all the profits from the new arms trade and other properties linked to the gang. And these people face a LOT of charges – including human trafficking for sexual slavery, street gang terrorism offenses and preventive actions, conspiracy to commit racketeer and corrupt organization (RICO), aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
So wild!
Carr said later in a release that Georgia’s human trafficking and gang prosecution units continue to work to protect people in the community:
“In our country, gangs are actively involved in human trafficking as the main way to make money, and we use all available resources to fight and protect the most vulnerable. By combining the powers of the Human Trafficking Unit and Gang Prosecution, we are working to ensure that people- those who lead, promote, and encourage this illegal activity are being prosecuted and held accountable for their actions. This indictment is just the latest in our ongoing efforts to keep our children and families safe as we work to eliminate violent crime in wherever it happened.
It’s unclear whether Johnson or the others arrested have entered pleas.
