Football season all year round! The Super Bowl is the ultimate viewing experience for fans of the game, but what happens after the sporting event is over?
Whether your team is winning the big game, or your hometown hero has lost the season, soccer fans don’t want this season to end. Now, viewers don’t have to say goodbye to gridiron games after the Super Bowl is over because there’s plenty of pigskin content year-round.
Fans can watch football-focused movies and TV series to relive the glory of their high school playing days for months. Maybe you want to escape from everyday life and become a fan of a fictional team like Friday Night Lights‘ Dillion Panthers, led by Coach Taylor (Kyle Chandler)?
The Texas-based series will teach viewers just what it means to believe in the power of sports and the “clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose” mentality. Also, when it comes to football, it’s a win-win.
Varsity Blues, The longest yard and other movies will have fans jumping out of their seats when they get invested in a fictional football squad no matter what time of year. Or viewers can catch up on football flicks based on real people and events, like Remember the Titans and Rudy, to warm tailgate-loving hearts.
Rudy star Sean Austin still look back fondly on the film, specially told Us Weekly in August 2020, what a great last snap play shoot. “My wife [Christine Harrell] is on the side. I looked at him before the big final snap,” he recalled. “That and the sound of the crowd is a lasting memory. This and the incredible achievements of this small crew. And I like Rudy. When I watch movies, that’s it Jon Favreauit’s his crying that makes me tired.”
Sports fans can also watch comedies like Trainer and League for the main football fan channel throughout the winter, spring and summer – until fall rolls around again and the crew suits up again for the NFL’s new season.
In addition, fans can also improve their cheerleading skills by watching Bring It On — Gabrielle Union‘s skills on the mat are legendary – or Netflix’s cheering.
The Super Bowl is only one day away, but these football-focused hits keep on coming.
