Filipino import in the B.League All-Star Game. – B. LEAGUE
MANILA, Philippines—The Filipino-dominated Asian All-Stars prevailed against the B.League Rising Stars, 118-114, in the Japan B.League All-Star Game at the Adastria Mito Arena on Saturday night.
Matthew Wright led all Filipino imports for the Asia All-Stars with a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds, hitting two triples in the process.
Altiri Chiba’s Kobe Paras also chipped in, tallying 12 points and nine boards, while Nagoya’s Bobby Ray Parks Jr. had 11 points, five rebounds and two assists.
Shiga Lakes’ Kiefer Ravena may have finished with eight markers, but he said his main focus was not on scoring but on entertaining the fans in attendance.

“I’m very happy tonight, I hope everyone watching is very happy,” said the former NLEX cager, who played with his younger brother Thirdy.
Fellow former PBA gunner and Nagasaki Velca Jordan Heading, who also participated in the league’s Skills challenge, sizzled from beyond the arc with three three-point bombs for 11 markers.
Dwight Ramos of Levanga Hokkaido, did not play in the Asia All-Stars because he was suspended for not playing on January 18 against Utsonomiya Brex due to injury.
Wang Weijia, an Asian import from China who plays for the Akita Northern Happinets, led the Asian All-Stars with 18 points, seven rebounds and three dimes.
Meanwhile, leading Japan’s Rising Stars was Taiki Okada who finished with a game-high 26 points, hitting eight shots from beyond the arc on 16 attempts.
