The FDA launched the Street Food Vending Scheme in November 2021, together with the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Councils.
The scheme, developed under FAO’s Healthy Street Food Incentive Project, aims to issue vendors who comply with Street Food Vending Permits. Consumers must insist on seeing the permit at their favorite restaurant before honoring the service. We strongly urge street vendors to get a permit.
