Farrah Abraham I don’t want to hear it!!
At Teenage Mother alum has caught a lot of criticism this week after she posted a stunning new video on several social media channels. In the clip, the 31-year-old star shows off her 14-year-old daughter Sophia got six (!) new facial piercings as part of her birthday celebration. But fans weren’t happy with what they saw! And they are not shy to show it!!

As you know, fans call out Farrah in everything Instagram comment section. They scolded her for letting Sophia ask for what they felt were such radical and non-traditional piercings. But there are some who support Farrah. With My Teenage Dreams Are Over the author chose to clap back HARD with the response, too!
Last Friday night, the MTV alum talk to InTouch Weekly about the backlash for her piercing move with Sophia. Shocked by fans who criticized her for allowing the girl to express herself through body jewelry, Farrah told the outlet:
“I will not shame my daughter, I love and support Sophia 100 percent in who and what she wants to be. Mother shamers need to know what some children will grow up and what they will do [will not]. This is part of my teenage journey as I no longer have belly piercings.
wow!
And he wasn’t done there. The reality TV veteran also mentioned his own challenging teenage years – which were watched by many viewers on MTV more than a decade ago. Referencing and throwing her support behind Sophia, her proud and defensive mother added:
“I love having young children … I have the same compassion for them as you would when you were a teenager.”
Awww! That part is so sweet! And others too, by the way. Farrah defended her parents and protect her daughter from the heat from online critics. Can’t hate it! The internet can be a nasty place!
Speaking of ‘bad nets, Farrah posted the above video in honor of Sophia’s 14th birthday piercing by sharing the clip on TikTok, too. It’s the same series of photos as the IG post we’ve discussed, as you can see (below):

But it’s the TikTok comments that really caught our attention!! Like on Insta, fans and followers weigh in openly. But they are usually very supportive on TikTok!
Ch-ch-check out some of the comments (below):
“I love that they are given the freedom to be who they really are, free from judgment and obedient.”
“I don’t understand why people care so much about age and piercings. It’s better to do it professionally than not allow it”
“It’s already 14?! Wow!! I love that you let them express themselves!”
“I love this!! My mom made me get my first major piercing, a vertical labret or ‘angel kiss,’ five days before I turned 14. It was my 14th bday present!!
“It’s great that you take them to a professional. The number of parents who tell their children no and the children do it at friends’ houses. They will do it”
“Good job getting him in a clean professional environment!!! so he doesn’t sneak out and do it in people’s garages like me”
Love the support!
Of course, this isn’t the first time Sophia and Farrah have caught flak (and love) from fans over their piercing issues. A year ago – for Sophia’s 13th birthday – Farrah took her to get her septum pierced.

After his followers tore him for it that time around, Farrah spoke to TMZ about her decision to take her daughter for a piercing. Arguing that it is better for girls to do so in a safe and clean environment, Abraham said at the time:
“I think her generation of 13-year-olds is very different from my generation of 13-year-olds. Sophia was the first … in my family to get a septum piercing, especially at 13 … going, sneaking off and doing it herself and getting an infection. To people who feel it’s not fair that my son is done professionally, legally, I’m all about legal. We follow the law. I do my best as a parent to make sure he’s healthy and happy, and I cover the bases. So that’s it congratulations to Sophia. I wish her the best in her teenage years, and if she wants to get more piercings, more power to her.
And from then till now, it seems like the same vibe this year too!
Reaction, Perezcious readers??
