MANILA, Philippines – After being swept by defending champion Creamline in the first semifinal of the Premier Volleyball League, F2 Logistics coach Regine Diego urged the Cargo Movers to finish strong in the battle for bronze in the All-Filipino Conference.

Cargo Movers were emotional after bowing out of the semifinals with a 22-25, 23-25, 16-25 loss to Cool Smashers in Game 2 of the semifinals on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Diego still finds solace in saying that he reached his goal of finishing in the top four.

“He was sad, of course, to lose, but I said we have to manage our emotions because we couldn’t win,” he said in the Philippines. “Our goal is the top four. We made it here. Even though we lost, we still won. We hope to win the next two games.

The first-time PVL coach encouraged his players to end the campaign on a high note.

“You don’t stop when you’re tired or sick, you stop when you’re done. I always tell them to look at the positive things. What’s the last place? They’re here now but it’s still a learning process for them,” he said. Diego. “He should know that in the semi-finals you can’t move slowly on the field. You have to move fast and set the pace as coach Ramil [De Jesus] said.”

“This is a learning experience [experience]lesson for us,” he added.

Diego assured his team that “not now but maybe in the future” hoping to end the conference on a very good note.

“We will only play our best. We want to win because we want to end well. A win is always a better way to end things,” he said.

F2 Logistics will face the loser of the Petro Gazz-PLDT 3 semi-final match in the best-of-one bronze series starting Sunday.
