The lawyer responded to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s hospitalization for concussion treatment after falling at a dinner event with mockery.
Ellis, who earlier this week was criticized for manipulating Trump’s 2020 election, shared a video showing a turtle falling to the bottom. McConnell has been considered a turtle from both sides of the aisle for years.
“BREAKING: Camera footage from last night’s McConnell dinner obtained,” he captioned the clip.
The post drew heavy criticism on Twitter.
“The lack of basic humanity that these people consistently display is incredible,” CNN’s Jake Tapper responded.
