Former GFA Chairman, Alhaji Jawula died at the age of 74
Former Chairman of the Ghana Football Association, Alhaji MND Jawula, has died at the age of 74.
Ghana’s veteran football administrator died in Nashville, United States.
He was the head of Ghana football’s governing body from 1997 to 2001.
Before rising to the top of Ghana’s football administration, Alhaji Jawula was the chairman of the 1995 Black Starlets team that won the World Cup in Ecuador.
He last served as the Chairman of the seven-member Ghana Premier League Management Committee from 2019.
Alhaji Jawula is also a board member of Real Tamale United and a member of the CAF Interclub Committee.
Apart from football, he is the Lepowura of the Kujolobite Lepo-Kpempe Gate in the Northern Region.
