“The idea of Tucker Carlson in the mob that day and not wetting his pants is hard to imagine,” Cooper said. “I find it hard to know anyone who has never compromised themselves in some capacity for others or to report a story, but has the audacity to try to rewrite history.”
Carlson, who has admitted to lying, has chosen the footage to downplay and even ignore the violence as he tries to confuse the audience into thinking that a group of peaceful visitors are actually acting as tourists in the Capitol when Congress meets to certify the 2020 Election. The College voted for Joe Biden.
Cooper called it “an attempt to rewrite the history of what is most important, certainly one of the greatest events in American democracy, the greatest threat to American democracy.”
Fanone called Carlson “Donald Trump’s chief propagandist.”
