As Perezcious readers know, the couple was spotted on several New York City dates (and even a tropical vacation) earlier this year before finally calling it quits last month. They sure go out with a bang, though! Just a day before the separation, Eric and EmRata posed for NSFW The Valentine’s Day selfie that nearly broke the internet!

In the snap, the 39-year-old can be seen reclining on a couch while naked, sipping a glass of wine. All that covered him was a heart emoji. In the mirror behind her, the model is braless as she takes two photos. It really is something else!! And still up, so to speak.

Very soon after the photo surfaced, we heard they broke up – so of course many wondered if the picture was the reason Em ended the “situation”. But Eric finally shut down the speculation! In a recent interview with The stone is rolling out on tuesday, The Eric Andre Show The host finally spilled the tea about the origin of the photo and what it has to do with the model really like! He began talking about the viral image, saying:
“I was really in that moment … drinking wine, and he started dying laughing, and he was like, ‘I have to take this picture.'”
He continued:
“We both started laughing. We both agreed it was a great picture to share with the world.
At Men Seeking Women the actor noted that there was “not much thought” behind the “iconic” image – just wanted to have a laugh. He explains:
“It’s one of those things. I think it’s art. Art isn’t intellectual; it’s primitive. You have to speak to your hormones as they speak to your mind.
LOLz! That’s a sophisticated way of saying they were half drunk shocking pics of sexy date night! He later called the “spontaneity” of the impromptu photoshoot a “happy accident.” So, it’s not like the risqué image is being ripped off, despite the rumours.

He joked:
