The cathedral era is long past; my campaign is not against the church – Ablakwa
Tongu Utara Members of Parliament don’t seem to stop criticizing the construction of the National Cathedral.
He continued to maintain that the project was unnecessary and the desire of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to proceed with the building should be reconsidered immediately.
The Legislature simply stated, “the Cathedral revolution is long overdue”.
Mr. Ablakwa is not very sure of the claim that building the Cathedral will save the country from civil war.
He believes, it would be more appropriate to have a culture of honesty and Christian values that do not require structures for this purpose.
“Ivory Coast built a beautiful Cathedral. Unfortunately, this did not prevent them from suffering civil wars and conflicts. We are Christians of the New Testament. Let’s return to pure and true Christian theology.
“This doctrine is, the Holy Spirit has left us, he lives in us, and our body is the temple of God. So, we must prioritize personal values and integrity. We are not in the Old Testament where it is about building. If you look at the arena international today, we are too late. The Cathedral era that shows that you have arrived as a country – the Cathedral revolution is long overdue,” said the MP.
According to Mr. Ablakwa, the campaign to expose infractions in construction is underway not to expose the Christian community but for the greater good of the nation.
“Let’s be clear, this is not an agenda against the Church. I am not trying to destroy the religion that I will not be anyone. I have said time without number where would I be without Christianity? I believe in the power, salvation, and grace of God Jesus Christ. I am not a pagan or an anti-Christ”, he emphasized in an interview with Umaru Sanda Amadu on Face to face at Read TV.
