The Enugu State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Campaign Council has refuted allegations of fake National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate of the gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Peter Mbah, describes it as an alleged indolent opposition and a final kick that will die. horse.
The campaign council said that the opposition in the state is beginning to realize that they have no prospects in the 2023 gubernatorial election, and therefore, are running a smear campaign.
In a statement issued, in Enugu, yesterday, the Director of Public Communications and Spokesperson of the Enugu State PDP Campaign Council, Nana Ogbodo, noted that there is no truth in the allegations.
The statement read: “Our attention has been drawn to a media conference by a faceless group in Abuja, who claimed to have inspected the NYSC office under the Freedom of Information Act 2011, which purportedly revealed that Mbah submitted fake NYSC certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC).
“We dare say Grandma was mobilized for one year compulsory national youth service in Lagos in 2002, completed the training and was issued NYSC discharge certificate.
“We declare that these fake providers are real forgers, because everything about the letter they claim to be from the NYSC bears all the imprimaturs of forgery; the language is very inelegant and unofficial coming from the NYSC.
“We also noticed that the statement was not signed by an official of the faceless group. We call on media organizations and interested Nigerians to approach the NYSC to confirm the authenticity of the letter. However, we are taking steps, in line with the provisions of the law, to bring the perpetrators to book to the book.
The PDP Enugu Campaign Council recalls that the opposition has tried its hand at malicious and other criminal forgeries, including the falsification of court proceedings to discredit and harm Mbah.
“Instead of presenting and marketing the manifesto to the voters of Enugu, they have previously falsified the court process and also filed frivolous lawsuits, claiming that Grandmother has entered into a plea of guilty and a plea bargain; therefore, ineligible to vote.
