Entries for NLNG-sponsored literature, literary criticism prizes to close March 31 | The Guardian Nigeria News

The Advisory Board of the Nigeria Prize for Literature and the Nigeria Prize for Literary Criticism, sponsored by Nigeria LNG (NLNG) Limited, is calling on playwrights and playwrights in the country to submit their winning copy for the 2023 edition of the prize. Entries close on March 31, 2023.

The Literary Prize, now in its 19th year, has a $100,000 cash prize each, while the Literary Critic Prize has a $10,000 prize.

Professor Ameh Dennis Akoh will chair the judging panel for this year’s Literature and Literary Criticism competition. Professor Akoh is a Professor of Drama and Critical Theory at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ebonyi State.

Other panelists included Professor Osita Catherine Ezenwanebe and Dr. Rasheed Liman. Professor Ezenwanebe is a professor of Creative Arts at the University of Lagos, while Liman is a senior lecturer at the Department of Theater and Performing Arts, Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) Zaria, Kaduna State.

Professor Victor K. Yankah of the Department of Theater and Film Studies, University of Cape Coast, Ghana is the International Consultant.
