It’s safe to say Emma Slater and Sasha Farber‘s divorce has been a long time coming.
According to court documents obtained by Us WeeklySlater, 34, listed April 1, 2022, as the separation date when he filed to legally end his marriage on Tuesday, February 21.

According to insiders, it was a “difficult decision” for Slater and Farber, 38, officially called it.
“It’s a difficult time because he really cares and has been around for a long time,” the source said.
The two continued to compete in season 31 of the Disney+ show. When Farber partnered with Selma Blairwho was forced to quit during the 5th week of fighting with MS, Slater and Trevor Donovan finished in sixth place. The duo also made waves for their chemistry on the dance floor.

Shutterstock“A lot of the movies I’ve done, that’s it [the] romantic lead and you have at least a couple of scenes that are intimate scenes,” the 90210 alum to us during the season. “And you are with that person [could] very well married or who have just met or you are not in a relationship and so you have to make that and luckily, we have a few weeks to get to know each other to be friends and break down that wall and be comfortable with.”
During another interview, Slater revealed us that “it’s easy to be me with Trevor.”
“We have a familiar, light-hearted chemistry,” he said. “It’s a fun thing. It can show up as passion on the dance floor, but we just have fun. We had fun every day we practiced even though he would blow up because I did something wrong that I did right. However, I think about the camaraderie and lightness of our friendship, which really translates into the dance. So we’re just 100 percent comfortable with each other.

Slater and Farber, meanwhile, continue to work together after completing season 31 in November 2022, dancing the “naughty samba” (per the Instagram caption) as a duo on February 2 in DWTS tourism.
