Joe Biden‘s tweet last weekend about Super Bowl is WAAAAAAAAY more popular than the same from Elon Muskand the tech brothers won’t let it!
According to a new report, the Twitter The founder has been fuming all week long after the President’s tweet tossing his support behind Philadelphia Eagles beyond Musk’s deleted message.

So, this all started on Sunday afternoon, hours before NFL‘s much-anticipated great game.
Biden’s wife, Dr. Jill Biden, has roots in Philly. He was loudly cheering for the Eagles leading up to the football affair. So Joe tweeted about his wife’s support for the squad too! Prez jokingly noted how he would not “choose a favorite” between the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, being a national politician and all. But!! But he also wants to support his wife and show his love:
As your president, I don’t pick favorites.
But as Jill Biden’s husband, fly Eagles, fly. https://t.co/YtgaEC83Qj
– President Biden (@POTUS) February 13, 2023
LOL!
It’s a fine line. Unfortunately, Jill’s Eagles lost. The Kingdom of God reigns!
However, based on the metrics that Twitter shared on the tweets, the post had already received more than 29 million impressions (!) as of Wednesday morning. Musk – who was at the game in Arizona on Sunday night and sat next to him Fox News dizzy head Rupert Murdoch – tweeted his own support of the Eagles, too. However, in a report published on Tuesday by Platformer, “Chief Twit” alone received more than 9 million impressions on his own Philly tweet. And he deleted it out of apparent frustration at being blown up by Biden’s popularity! Well, apparently Elon is really thin-skinned!

And it gets worse!!! The same outlet reported Elon moved to immediately increase (?!) Twitter impression statistics on the site for… tweets and only own tweets. It’s 2:36 a.m. Monday morning, brother Elon James Musk take it to the company Slack channel and write this panicked message to the engineers:
“We are debugging problems with engagement on the platform. Anyone who can build a dashboard and write software, you can help solve this problem. This is a high urgency. If you are willing to help, please give us a thumbs up.”
According to the report, the “high urgency” issue is that Elon’s Super Bowl tweets got less engagement than Biden’s posts. It’s all a f**king emergency. Seriously?!
Less than 24 hours after James allegedly pinged Twitter’s engineering team to “fix” Elon’s engagement numbers, Tesla exec’s posts started popping up all over social media sites. The news org noted that the engineers made the change so that Musk “and Musk alone” became the beneficiary of “promoting previously unheard tweets to the entire user base.”
The report says Musk has been “obsessed” in recent weeks with the level of engagement. Just last week, as previously reported in media outlets, Elon fired one of the company’s last two key engineers after the man allegedly told tech executives that his tweet views were down because people had lost interest in Elon’s storyline.

On Sunday night, Platformer claims, Elon addressed the entire Twitter engineering team through the issue of engagement. The site estimates 80 people were assigned to work on Elon’s vanity project. In fact, it “quickly became the company’s number one priority.” Engineers were forced to work through the night and into the morning “investigating various hypotheses as to why Musk’s tweets didn’t reach as many people as expected.”
bruh…
As of Monday afternoon, the “problem” had been “fixed,” according to the news org. Twitter engineers created code to “greenlight” all of Musk’s tweets across all platforms. Suddenly, he was everywhere. Some estimates claim his tweets were boosted “by a factor of a thousand,” thus ensuring the content was seen by almost all Twitter users when they logged on.
Late Monday night, even Musk himself was game to mock the new algorithm. In a referential tweet, Musk referenced the popular “forced to drink milk” meme with his own description of pushing his tweets out into the world:

Then, a few hours later on Tuesday morning, Musk joked that his engineers were continuing to fine-tune the “algorithm” for the site’s millions of end users:
Please stay tuned as we make adjustments to the uh .… “algorithm”
– Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 14, 2023
At least he can laugh at himself with the milk meme and all? But, like, shit. Log off, boy! Touch the grass, as the kids say. LOLz!

Whatever happens with the algorithm, Twitter’s engineers are very focused on trying to keep Elon happy. One unnamed “current employee” spoke to Platformer on the current vibe of working at a tech company:
“He bought the company, made a point of showing what he believed was broken and manipulated in the previous management, then turned around and manipulated the platform to force the involvement of all users so that only their voices could be heard. I think he has passed the point of believing that he really wants the best for everyone people here.
No kidding!!
