The FCT Security Committee has ensured the safety of the people of the Federal Capital Territory during and after the 2023 Elections.

The Presidential and National Assembly elections will be held on February 23, while the governorship and state council elections will be held on March 11.
The Director, Information and Communications, FCT, Muhammad Hazat-Sule, disclosed this in Abuja.
He said the committee called on citizens to come out in large numbers to fulfill their civic responsibilities.
Hazat-Sule also said that adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials and other stakeholders.
“The committee at a meeting held in Gwarinpa District I, Abuja, also called on the people to conduct themselves in a lawful manner during the exercise and vote for the candidate of their choice.

“All potential flash points that could lead to breach of peace have been carefully mapped and appropriate surveillance measures have been put in place to maintain law and order in the FCT.
“The committee reviewed all security issues and expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness by the respective security formations in the Region and concluded that the 2023 General Elections can be held peacefully and peacefully.”
He said the committee noted the pro-activeness of the FCT Administration in restricting the movement of commuters around the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
The center was approved by the FCTA as the INEC Collection Center for the 2023 Presidential election.
According to him, the FCT is known for its peace and will not tolerate any act that is harmful to the peace and development of the region.
