Election 2024: National Peace Council urges NDC to return to IPAC

On Wednesday, April 21, 2020, the NDC boycotted the IPAC meeting to review the 2020 parliamentary and presidential elections.

The party said it declined the invitation of the Electoral Commission (EC) because of the dishonesty, blatant duplicity, and open bias shown by the Jean Mensah-led EC to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in its action. from the 2020 general election.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia in a statement said, “It is the view of the NDC that the current leadership of the Electoral Commission overseeing the manipulation of the 2020 general election and the same stolen verdict, lacks the integrity, credibility and impartiality to lead a discussion or review of the same rigged election.”

The NDC said it has fully investigated the dubious role of the EC in the rigging of the 2020 general polls.
