Ekumfi Akra Assistant Principal Shot
The Assistant Principal of Ekumfi Akra Methodist Primary School in Ekumfi District, Central Region, aged 35, was shot.
The principal who is also the local secretary of the Ghana National Teachers Association was shot while attending to the call of nature in a nearby bush.
Information gathered shows that the Assistant Principal, Shadrack Frimpong, on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, entered a nearby bush to meet the call of nature when some unknown persons shot him in the bush in the left eye.
However, it is unclear the motive behind the attempt on the life of the assistant principal.
Confirming the incident to Accra-based Citi fm, the father of the victim, Richard Anaman called on the police to bring the perpetrators to book.
He said, “We are sad as a family to hear that someone tried to kill our son. We want the police to get to the bottom of the matter. But what I want is that he has been canning students and then faced some challenges with his hands.
“But I’m praying that he’s not the one to have that attack in his life. Both of his hands have been affected, but we’re hoping for the best.
