For those who think that being in Efia Odo’s case will make them stop showing so much flesh, they may have something to do because they are not ready to listen.
The pretty outspoken actress believes it’s time Ghanaians stop wasting time lecturing her how rich she is and instead allow her to live her life.
“This is the way I have been doing it for years and no one can stop me. I have received all the bashing but hey, this is who I am,” he told Graphic Showbiz in an interview.
Making this point, the US-based former nurse said: “I think Ghanaians are hypocrites, they will say things about you, but they will still follow your social media pages and like whatever they post. I wouldn’t be the way I am today if I paid attention to everything what he said about me.
He went on to say that apart from criticism, people should also talk about his positive side. “I do a lot of charity that I want people to talk about but they don’t. Sometimes I wear African clothes and cover up well but no one says anything. All they know is that they criticize me because of my glowing flesh, but I don’t care,” he added.
Asked if she has a man in her life, if she can convince him to change her dress, Efia Odo, real name Andrea Owusu, replied that she will not live just to please a man and whoever loves her will have to accept her as she is .
“Anyone who says they love me should accept me no matter what because I won’t change to please them. I want to live as a happy girl who can make my own decisions. I don’t want stress from anyone,” she said.
Efia Odo who has said many times that she will not return to Ghana after moving to the United States, but says “Ghana is my home”, and she cannot allow anyone to intimidate her.
“Yes, I sometimes say that I will not go back to Ghana after moving to the United States, but GH is my home and I will not allow anyone to stress me. I will come here whenever I want and do what makes me happy,” he said.
As an actress, Efia Odo has appeared in Ghanaian movies such as Heels and Sneakers. He is also a TV presenter on Kwese TV.
