At Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested four top officials of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) over alleged fraud.
He was arrested for suspicious payment of over N2 billion Duty Tour Allowance (DTA) to himself, according to sources in the commission. The source asked not to be named because he was not authorized to speak to the press on the matter.
The suspects, according to the source, include the NCAA Director, Finance and Accounts, Bilkisu Adamu Sani.
The rest are Deputy General Manager, Treasury, Hart Benson Fimienye, Deputy General Manager (Accounts Management), Obene Jenbarimiema Turniel, and General Manager (Accounts and Stores), Nathaniel Terna Kaainjo.
Apart from Mr. Kaainjo, who was arrested and detained at the EFCC on Thursday (March 16), the source said, other sources were arrested on Monday (March 20).

All these will be questioned by the operational team of the EFCC at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

PREMIUM TIMES made unsuccessful attempts to get a comment from the NCAA spokesperson, Sam Adurogboye, on the matter.
Calls sent to the phone line are answered but not spoken. He has not responded to a text message seeking comment on the arrest of the agency’s top officials and allegations of suspicious DTA payments.
