EFCC arrests alleged serial Canadian visa scammer

At Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has arrested one Enock Ifeoluwa Ogungbamigbe, who is an alleged serial visa scammer.

The commission said in a statement on Friday that Mr. Ogungbamigbe specialized in duping Nigerians desperate to move to Canada either for work or further education, through fake visas and job offers.

The 32-year-old, according to EFCC, owns a Garden in Mpape, a suburb of Abuja.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has today, March 17, 2023 arrested one Enock Ifeoluwa Ogungbamigbe, an alleged serial visa scammer who specializes in deceiving Nigerians who want to migrate to Canada for work or further education, through fake visas and job offers. .

The 32-year-old who owns a garden in Mpape, a suburb of Abuja, was picked up at the Transcorp Hotel, Abuja by Commission operators, when he responded to an appointment to collect visas for applicants intending to immigrate to Canada. He didn’t know that it was a bait.

The arrest followed a petition from the victim who lost N5million to the suspect as processing fee for Visa to Canada. The suspect had also promised the victim a job when he arrived in Canada. But they only sent fake visas to the victims and all efforts to get the money back were futile.

The suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is over.
