UTSUNOMIYA – Bay Area held together in the most critical moments on Friday night to outlast host Utsunomiya, 96-90, to stay alive in third place in the East Asian Super League Champions week here.

Bay Area, also 1-1, will play for second place in group A, which could be Ryukyu, Anyang, Taipei, or San Miguel Beer.
The five-day exhibition now moves to Okinawa, which will host a total of four games, including the final and the battle for third place.
