Dr. Kwabena Duffuor picks nomination forms to contest Mahama as NDC flagbearer

The Ashanti Regional Women Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gloria Huze, has taken nomination forms for the former Governor of the Bank of Ghana.

Chairman of the Election Committee, Kakra Essamuah asked Dr. Duffuor to bring his expertise in finance to save Ghana’s declining economy.

“I along with all Ghanaians have been overcome by the stench of corruption in Akufo-Addo. We know that it is the NDC who can take us out of this, if they get the votes of the delegates,” he said.

Madam Huze said the 2024 presidential election needed a courageous candidate like Dr Duffour to lead the NDC to save the masses, especially women, from the hands of the present administration.

According to him, the politician will be the best bet for the opposition party for the 2024 elections because he has public welfare.

This will be his 2nd attempt at the flagbearership slot of the NDC.

The NDC on February 22, 2023, opened nominations for the presidential and parliamentary elections.

The two-day exercise will herald the party’s internal election process to select presidential and parliamentary candidates for the NDC scheduled for May 13, 2023, to contest the party’s ticket in the 2024 general elections.
