Dorit Kemsley will have more time in her $6.5 million home after her estranged husband, Paul “PK” Kemsley, seemingly rescued it from this week’s scheduled foreclosure.
As PK, 58, was caught out and about in Los Angeles, where he lashed out at a photographer who confronted him about potentially being broke amid his messy divorce from the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, attorney Ronald Richards offered an update on the status of the Encino mansion, where Dorit and her two kids, 12-year-old Jagger and 10-year-old Phoenix, reside.
“Dorit Kemsley’s sale date was postponed to June 3, 2026 at 10:30 am,” Ronald announced to his followers on Instagram on May 20. “As we broke the story yesterday, we believe some last-minute payments by Paul Kemsley saved the day for Dorit.”
According to Ronald, the house is owned by Dorit’s LLC. So, PK did not have to make any moves when it came to putting money toward the mortgage.
“They are legally separated. She makes more money than Paul. She lives in the house and has spent most of her post separation earnings on herself instead of servicing the loans to her LLC,” he explained. “It is very likely the money Paul advanced to delay the sale will never be recovered or repaid by Dorit.”
While PK previously went through bankruptcy and was linked to a number of gambling-related debts, Ronald described his past struggles as “irrelevant.”
“They were married then and not separated. We are focused on the last 24 months and the evidence that was put in the court file that is undisputed,” he continued. “Dorit has a spending problem and cannot service her non-conforming (high interest) loans and needs to move out so the property can be sold. Paul had no legal obligation to help Dorit but he did it for the benefit of his kids and to save Dorit from herself.”
“We believe in the next two weeks Dorit will sign documents which will formalize Paul’s selfless acts. Meanwhile, Paul is busy on his next chapter and wants nothing more than to cut this liability out of his life,” Ronald added.
Elsewhere, in a video shared by TMZ, PK was seen smoking a cigarette as he was met with one of the outlet’s photographers.
“I’m just on the phone, buddy,” PK explained, unsuccessfully attempting to evade questions.
“Quick question: Are you blaming Dorit for spending too much money?” the man asked.
“I’m on the phone, buddy. Nice to see you, though,” PK replied.
Then, as the man pressed, “Is that foreclosure real? Can you tell us,” PK apologized to the person on the other line and informed the man that he didn’t believe he was “allowed” to be where they were.
“Are you really broke? Or are you hiding money?” the man continued.
At that point, PK snapped, telling him, “No, I’m richer than you,” as the man replied, “Okay, cool. Thank you. Have a good night.”
Dorit and Paul “PK” Kemsley have been featured on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills since its seventh season, which began airing in late 2016.
