According to Sister Derby, most successful showbiz investors and stakeholders are members of the LGBTQ community. He added that most top fashion brands are owned by ‘weird people’ and therefore, anyone who opposes them should also refuse to wear the brand.
“I care a lot and I am quite passionate because I have empathy. Second, in my industry, most of the people who make these things happen are part of the LGBTQ community. I don’t even like that it’s a community. Why is it a community? We’re all human, right? I don’t see why it should be different,” he said.
“Top fashion designers, make-up artists, hair stylists. The best fashion designers in the world, for example, are 99% weird. So if you’re up against the weirdos, don’t wear designer brands,” he stressed on the ‘Sincerely Accra’ podcast.
