Don’t endorse ‘dishonest’ OB Amoah – Powerful petition Appointments Committee
Ghana First Company Limited – a sanitation management company – petitioned Parliament’s Committee on Appointments not to approve Minister of State appointees for the Local Government and Rural Development Ministry.
The company in a long statement accused the minister-appointed as the economy with the truth in relation to the response to the question asked Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini, MP for Tamale North through Ghana First Co.
The company stated that OB Amoah deliberately concealed the real truth about all the projects and the Agreements involved.
“On this note, we hereby express our disappointment and dissatisfaction with the responses given by Hon OB Amoah regarding Ghana First Co. Ltd and the Clean Ghana Project in the two investigations which were incorrect and inaccurate.”
“We believe that the appointed minister is trying to hide the truth from the good people of Ghana as well as the Parliament about the fact that he has all the facts about the project, but bends the facts to suit the interests of the parish to be approved by the Parliament. His nomination.”
According to the company, OB Amoah has been part of the whole “process of the whole project and has all the relevant documents about the project as a company, we find the posture and attitude of OB Amoah towards the company uncomfortable, and now is the time to bring all the truth about the matter let Ghanaians know.”
The company added that “we believe that if Hon. OB Amoah gets the approval of the DPR to be the Minister of State for the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, it will not be good for the smooth running of the Ministry of Local Government.
“It has become necessary for the company to do this because every Ghanaian has an interest in this project and is waiting for this project to start functioning because it is important and useful for the country, and it is very sad for the people who have the responsibility to make it happen and to the whole world the truth about this project has deliberately hidden the truth about the project.
“From the above, it is very clear that Hon OB Amoah has been economical with the truth of the entire Agreement and we humbly request this Honorable Committee not to approve the appointment of Hon OB Amoah until he has fully disclosed the truth. Agree and apologize to the good people Ghana and Parliament.
