You may have heard of it Donald Trump to be arrested this week. The person who said it was, of course, the most unreliable person in this whole business – the former POTUS himself.
What we’ve heard is that Trump might charged very soon (We’ve already discussed why everyone thinks they’ll end up with consequences Stormy Daniels hush money payment here.) But as far as detention so, with everything S.V.U perp walking with handcuffs and everything, the way we know it is very reliable to happen at all. Even if the grand jury indicts, the Ex-Prez will seek the treatment of the rich and become invited to make arrangements for legal surrender. He won’t spend an hour in jail – he’ll only do that when the wheels of justice are slow. That’s what we’ve been made to know anyway.

But politically, he likes the idea of arrests. In an email to supporters on Monday, he asked for help. And this time he is looking for more than “11,000 votes” – saying he wants “74 million patriots” to support him by signing a petition to end the detentions. The campaign email announced:
“They are trying to intimidate YOU and cancel your vote… that’s why the Trump campaign for President 2024 collected millions and millions of petition signatures from Americans like you following the threat of possible arrest.”
Funnily enough though, the link didn’t take supporters to the page where they signed the petition but instead asked… Fans can donate by pressing a button from $24 to $3,300. There is no direct petition anywhere, not a public list or anything.
So if you’re wondering why Trump is playing around with the idea of being arrested – again something we heard will not happen at all – the answer is the same as most of the answers when it comes to Trump. Money.
This spam-like email that unwittingly takes supporters to a donation page has been used before by Trump, but also by other politicians in both sides aisle side, incl Nancy Pelosi. And it’s dirty every time. But trying to raise campaign money in obscure ways based on arrests for campaign finance violations is certainly new. Nobody said Trump wasn’t funny.

Meanwhile, pundits who support Trump are all singing the same old song – The government is corrupt, and they are just trying to catch their political enemies. LOLz, yes, you can understand how they want to arrest Trump for nothing about how long it took to charge him with the gazillion things he was accused of. They came for Trump, then for you. You know, if you’re a porn star and secretly paying money, thus making an unknown monetary contribution to the presidential campaign, well, you’ll definitely be next after Trump.
On a serious note, there have also been calls for violence and supporters to make a run on the banks in an attempt to implode the US economy in response to the arrest. Which sounds a little like terrorism now we think about it… We just hope “74 million patriots” Trump needs to realize this is only about the rule of law.
Do you think Trump is trying to raise money from an arrest that no one thought was coming??
