Ahead of the twelfth edition of the Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial Foundation Charity Golf Tournament, corporate companies have shown interest in supporting the event.
The event, noted for its exceptional standards, is slated for January 28, 2023, at the Ikoyi 1938 Club Golf Section, Ikoyi- Lagos.
In a statement, the DOAM Foundation listed a number of prominent corporate bodies supporting the charity golf event including Access Bank Plc, ARM Pension Managers, Sparkle, Total Energy, Cappa & D’Alberto, Radial Circle Group, 7-Up Bottling Company, Custodian & Allied Ltd, TINO Electronics, KPMG, Mixta Nigeria, Afam Tailors, Radisson Hotel, Victoria Crown Plaza Hotel, Ikoyi Club, 1938 and others.
About a hundred players have secured a place in the final round after the qualifying event on January 7, 2023. They will be joined by guest players.
The different levels of support offered by corporate and individual sponsors will help the foundation overcome some of the challenges faced by the less privileged, especially children and teenagers.
Data from the foundation shows that since its inception, it has touched around 91,000 people through the various life improvement programs it has implemented for the less privileged. This is made possible by funds raised from the annual golf event.
The final of the tournament will be rounded off with a cocktail event in the evening, which will also feature the presentation of prizes for the winners, with more opportunities to interact with partners and donors.
