During this week’s new episode of 90 Day Engagement: Another Wayviewers learn about Kris Foster’s stolen motorcycle.
This is not just the theft of expensive vehicles. It was also a gift from his late father.
and it was also a colossal headache for him. That threatens to disrupt his wedding plans with Jeymi.
Of course, this season was filmed months ago. Did Kris ever get his bike back? Did he send the thief to prison?
Kris Foster has had more than his fair share of bad luck. Clearly, that started long before her time on the show.
As he told Jeymi Noguera in Season 4, Episode 6, he might have to fly back to Alabama to testify against the burglar who broke into his house and stole his motorcycle.
They valued the vehicle at around $50,000 – at least, before someone stole it. And it has a lot of sentimental value. After the episode aired, Kris shared a photo of the bike … and expressed her displeasure. Reading her words, you can understand why.
“Well thank you dope head for totally ruining my beautiful bike!!” Kris wrote in a long and scathing Instagram caption.
“I’m glad it was found during a drug raid,” he said. “But the Haleyville police dept forgot to tell me they found it.”
“So,” Kris cried, “it’s been sitting in the impound lot since January 28th!!!” Apparently, at this time, the vehicle has accrued a fine – and Kris, the victim of the crime, on the hook for them.
“Add 250 for towing plus 35 days of being there!!” Kris wrote.
“The good people in the place said I could get 500 which is amazing,” he said. “But I don’t have to pay!!”
Kris then insisted: “I’ll be driving at 3am when they find my baby!!!”
“Now I have to figure out how to take care of this!!” Kris together. “Finally I’m thankful my bike is back to me.”
He wrote: “My father will smile in the afterlife, but I feel robbed again.”
And all “because of this incompetence for our public figures!!!”
“Yes the investigatorsare playing the blame game,” Kris explained in a follow-up comment. “Haleyville says Franklin county is responsible because they found it.”
“Then,” he continued, “I called Franklin county and they said it was Haleyville’s fault because that’s where it was stolen from!!”
Kris said: “This is wrong!! I hope I can raise some money soon and get this whole mess over with!
“The worst part is how many vehicles are there and the owners don’t have any information about them either!!” Kris revealed.
“A lot of people don’t know their stolen vehicles have been recovered,” he said. “And if he doesn’t know, then impound his lit !!!”
Kris shared: “I plan to take a video of it when I shoot it so I can post it to help other people who don’t know it’s been found.”
“Yes it’s a difficult situation and it’s not his fault,” Kris emphasized. “He’s so sweet.”
He continued: “But he has to be paid for going out at 3 in the morning to get it, and I understand that.”
“But maybe I can help other people out there to get their stuff stolen,” Kris said. “And at least I can get the word out so they don’t get lost in the yard again. It’ll be a win for me just to help other people find out about their stuff!”
“It’s the only thing my dad cares about,” Kris wrote of his motorcycle.
“And we used to ride when I was little and that’s something we know,” he shared. “When he got this bike, he couldn’t wait for me to see it and I joked that I was happy he bought such a great bike!”
Kris recalled: “Lol he told everyone from then on that it was his and he just grabbed me.”
“Hahaha when he was too sick to ride, he wanted me to take him first,” Kris explained.
“But I refused,” he recalls, “until just before he died because I knew he could still see through the window.”
Kris explained: “I’ll clean it and run it and let him hear it, and he’s still smiling. The bike is sitting where he can see it for five years. It means more than I can explain.
“I have to go to court because they found someone who stole it,” Kris told a confused commenter.
“But his bike wasn’t there when he was arrested!” she cried.
Kris then determined that “They never found out until now!!” Recently it was about a month and a half ago.
Kris also shared how he hopes that the thief can somehow reimburse him for these fines and fees – by court order, of course.
That said, he had a realistic idea of what he was going to do.
It is unfortunate that our legal system and law enforcement structures seem to add additional layers of punishment and suffering to victims. This is just one of countless examples. I hope everything will be right with Kris and his property soon.
