After a happy first meeting, the latest episode of 90 Day Engagement: Another Way shows Kris and Jeymi facing reality.
They might know each other through the internet, but only found. They will discover different things about each other.
In the preview for next week’s episode, Jeymi learns that Kris likes to carry weapons. In this case, a knife.
This is a surprise for the Venezuelan born beauty. He wondered if he really knew Kris. At least, that one appear so what’s on your mind.

Kris Foster and Jeymi Noguera waited a long time to finally meet. They love through the internet.
Meeting just nine days before the wedding doesn’t just give them a very short time to adjust. It also means they have to do a speedrun to see how well they get along.
One big obstacle is sexual chemistry. The two separately spoke to the camera about their compatibility. All is well on that front.

But real life is not just boning in bed with two big boob pillows. It also means taking care from childhood.
Kris needs new toothpaste. He can’t use Jeymi because of a mint allergy.
It’s one of those little things they’re still learning about each other.

For fun, Kris has some unpacking to do after making this big move.
He gave Jeymi his wedding shoes. And she also bought a wedding dress and packed it with care.
Jeymi prepares the party and has to handle the move alone. Kris felt it was fair that she provided the wedding dress and shoes.

But speaking of the apartment, the rent is higher than what was agreed upon. By $100. That can add up to months.
Kris budgeting is quite careful. He felt surprised when Jeymi chose this place.
However, as Jeymi explained, because he knows that Kris is happy. They have all the amenities you could want.

And there are some nuances here.
Jeymi works as an administrative assistant. He has his own income, so he doesn’t need to rely on Kris’ money from selling his house.
Currently, Jeymi is on vacation for 30 days. After that, he will go back to work. And they are happy to contribute to the bill if necessary.

Kris and Jeymi were walking in the city center. Chris from very, very small town in rural Alabama.
So this is different for him. Life in the city is different. Feeling free and safe to just be in public with the woman you love is a positive change.
Remember, Kris used to drive to Birmingham for the weekend just to spend time with another woman.

With a mint allergy, Kris has limited options. And he got bubblegum flavored toothpaste. He and Jeymi laughed, because it was obvious to the children.
While he was there, Kris also needed pain medication. As Jeymi knows, he suffers from chronic pain in his back and neck.
Kris was the victim of two horrific wounds to his back and neck. Eventually, they will need surgery. Recovery will last a year and will include wearing a metal brace. And it will cost $100,000.

It’s not clear what shocked Jeymi more: hearing about Kris’s future medical condition, or hearing how dystopian the US health care system is.
However, what caught the attention of the audience was that Jeymi learned something completely different.
The promo for next week’s episode revealed Kris’ interest in weapons. It is clearly not a together attracted

In the preview for Season 4, Episode 5, which will air on Sunday, March 5, we see Kris and Jeymi go shopping again.
This time, he wasn’t looking for toothpaste or medicine. Kris, who left a lot of things behind when he moved to Colombia, wanted to buy a knife.
This is not a kitchen knife. It was, perhaps, for self-defense. And Kris said he’d rather have it.

“I’ve always carried some kind of weapon,” Kris explained to the confessional camera.
Interestingly, he did not film this scene alone. The beautiful dark look on her side belonged to Jeymi.
And, in this same scene, we can see Jeymi’s uncertain reaction to Kris’s confession.

Even two people from the same culture can have very different views on knives and other weapons.
Yes, Jeymi and Kris have lived very different lives in different cultures in different countries. It stands to reason that they will see different blades.
A knife is a very practical tool with many non-violent applications. However, knowing that you live with someone who has a large one can be a bit scary. Yes, even if you love and trust.

Kris shows how people will swing a knife in self defense. He’s a little weird, but we suspect that production may have suggested he show it.
Meanwhile, the preview shows Jeymi seemingly reacting to all this.
“Oh my god, he’s a psychopath,” Jeymi said to the confessional camera.

Actually, we suspect that the preview plays too quickly and lets loose with editing. That’s almost guaranteed with any promo like this.
Jeymi can talk about anything here. They may mean the opposite of what they say.
We won’t know what Jeymi means until a more detailed preview or the actual episode airs. Even then, we’ll keep in mind that editing can remove a lot of context.
