True crime and “true crime” may finally intersect in the form of one suspected murderer.
The investigation into the brutal quadruple murder of University of Idaho student Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, Ethan Chapinand Maddie Magen made a huge leap forward there with the arrest of Bryan Kohberger. Much is still unknown, including what motives the PhD student – who did not go to school with him – may have had.
One thing we do know is that Kohberger is a criminology student. It is an important factor in the latest internet theory about this case… Let’s face it, the online sleuths have not really guaranteed themselves in the glory when it comes to this investigation. But in this case, the real crime poster is where the suspect is.

First, people use the handle josco1972 have posted to TikTok about murder. Josco claims to be “the brother of the person under investigation” so insider information – but that’s a lot to say manner so specific, even the police won’t understand. For example, he said that one of the bodies was placed on top of the other in the bed – and this was because the victim woke up and tried to escape. How does the police know, what about the brother of the police??
True crime fans don’t show their faces in the vids, facing the camera on a laptop with news footage of the crime. But some shadows can be seen on the screen – and the man looks like Kohberger, which leads many people to believe that it is him is Josco.

The video was posted on December 13, the anniversary of the murder. It must be a terrifying idea – that a murderer could become arrogant (or even worried?) and start talking about the murder online. See some speculations (below):
????The disturbing video allegedly confirms the video posted by josco1972 on TikTok is Bryan Kohberger.

But there’s a big hole in that theory – Kohberger was arrested in the early hours of December 30. And josco has posted since then… including this one he told commenters who accused him of “lying” because he’s “innocent until proven guilty” :

Not to mention the fact that most of the posts before the murder there are chapters Harry Styles… It doesn’t feel right…

Surprisingly, this isn’t the only theory about Bryan that has hit true crime fans in the weeks following the murder.
Someone called into the live podcast called Allegedly with T-REV, using the name “Dave” for a week or so. The woman who claimed to be Kohberger’s former friend, the woman named Casey Arntz, said he recognized the voice as a podcast caller – which certainly gave birth to a new theory. In fact, Casey’s TikTok has since been deleted. It’s not just the video that he says is Kohberger’s voice – the whole channel. Hmm…
If this already Kohberger, it seems he is trying to use the platform to mislead internet investigators. “Dave” gave his two cents about the murder, mostly trying to cast suspicion on the Idaho fraternity. He told the host:
“I watched you live this evening and I’ve been watching, this, and I, uh, the weird thing about all of this is that I live in a college town, and I’ve been working with probably uh at least 10 members of Sigma Chi and, you know , one thing that every one of them I feel like they have asked me is, ‘If you are going to kill someone, how will you get away with it?’ And I just wonder if, maybe, if this is nothing more than a little kid in a fraternity trying to prove himself, and that’s all.
Sorry, WHAT?! equal entire ask that? Did they ask? they that? Maybe because he’s a criminologist? Like a graduate student? The caller continued:
“Yeah, I don’t know if that’s what people who are trying to have an interesting conversation say, but that’s what’s in my mind, it’s like that… it makes me wonder if there’s something in this culture where they ask how smart you are and whatever and what answer you do…
Victim Ethan Chapin was a member of Sigma Chi friendship So it’s weird that someone is trying to point the finger that way. And with a strange story, about everyone who asked. Even the host couldn’t believe it, replying:
“What kind of men would ask such a question? That’s the craziest thing.”
T-REV also posted interactions for Twittersaid he did not know that “Dave” was Kohberger:
I’m the person who originally had the caller on the phone on the “Allegedly With T-REV” podcast right now everyone is saying this is a killer but I don’t know if it’s true so I hope everyone knows. #Idaho4 #idahohomicides #IdahoStudentsSuspect #idahosuspect #BryanKohberger pic.twitter.com/koEPrhWyf5

What do you think of the theory? Do people just want to believe that criminology students are true crime obsessed? Or is this all too sis??
