What is highly anticipated The Real Housewives of New York City: The Legacy dead on arrival?
According to reports, Bravo has pulled the plug RHONY spinoff before filming even began after contract negotiations with the cast stalled over salary demands.
Per Page Six, an email was sent to the players, who were allegedly included Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimonand Luann of Lessep, around 6pm on Monday afternoon. The email revoked the contract offer and consequently rejected the event.
A source close to the production told the outlet that Bravo finally found out Inheritance not “worth it” after the players turned down the network’s “cheap” offer. They feel that they are not being paid in full or that they are not getting the guaranteed number of episodes that they believe.
One source told the outlet, “Never say never,” for the show to be revisited in the future, but for now, there are no plans to bring the show to the air right now.
But wait.
Like the news Inheritance collapsed, executive producer Andy Cohen tweeted out a seemingly contradictory tweet denying the validity of the new report.
“Don’t believe everything you read #RHONYLegacy,” she cryptically wrote.
Fans are still wondering where exactly the series is going. They flood the interwebs with questions and thoughts.
“So, didn’t it happen or what? Because we want to know,” one fan commented.
Another joked, “I don’t trust Andy. He constantly overpromises and underdelivers”…
A third took the opportunity to throw in some snark aimed at Real Housewives of Salt Lake Citysaid, “Said in [man] who always said, ‘the best season ever, just wait.’ Then season three of RHOSLC happened.
ET journalist Brice Sanders also chimed in when she tweeted, “A source tells me that the show (*cue Dorinda voice*)” is on hiatus “for now,” but noted that “in Bravo’s world, nobody dies.”

After the gloomy 13th season, Bravo chose to massively overhaul the RHONY franchise. They announced that the second-longest iteration of Housewives will be split into two shows: The Real Housewives of New York City with an all-new cast and so on Inheritance spinoff.
Bravo has yet to officially announce the alleged cancellation Inheritance.
