Identity, Sustainability and Thought Discussed at Melrose Gallery
In the heart of the main precinct of Johannesburg where fine dining has experienced, and tourists come to enjoy the reimagined hub of the South African Renaissance known as Melrose Arch, Diamond Women Africa (DWA) and Mental Health Specialist-Coaching Miss P has started a Feminine Movement that promises to liberate the mind and the hearts of art lovers.
DWA is proud to partner with Melrose Gallery for this exciting and empowering event, where women will experience the beauty of art while engaging in conversations that encourage them to discover their true identities so they can contribute positively to society.
“The partnership with Melrose Gallery is in line with our main goal as Diamond Women Africa, which is to celebrate and nurture the original women and their purpose on the African continent so that they can be the voice of change in our society,” said DWA Founder Doric. Sithole. “We are excited to partner with a Pan-African gallery that represents established and emerging artists, whose voices speak to important issues in Africa on a global basis.”
Guests will also have the opportunity to experience the current exhibition by curator Ruzy Rusike, which focuses on Sustainability. “The exhibition ‘To embrace the shadow is the journey of the sun and the soul’ seeks to define or better understand what sustainability means in the African ideology. This is an ethical message like the philosophy of Ubuntu, where we affirm humanity when we recognize that no individual is complete without others – I am what I am because of all of us,” said Ruzy Rusike, Chief Curator at the Melrose Gallery.
Touching on the Ubuntu fabric of our country, Coaching Miss P also echoes the sentiments of a sustainable future linked to nature and art. “I see the value of man through the lens of the mind. Man must understand how the mind works and contributes to daily choices and decisions that lead to sustainability. By talking about how to define our own value in order to preserve the world, preserve nature and mental art, we will giving true well-being and allowing people to dig deep to make the world a better place,” said Coach Miss P. .
