PASSI CITY – TNT forward Dave Marcelo clocked a time of 25.38 seconds to dominate the 2023 PBA All-Star Weekend Hurdle Challenge here.

The 11-year veteran beat Ginebra’s Christian Standhardinger and Rain or Shine’s Beau Belga to put together a revamped show to feature the big man.

“It was an amazing experience,” Marcelo said shortly after his performance at the City of Passi Arena that earned him a cash prize of P30,000.

“I didn’t expect to win because it was my first time, but I did my best to compete,” he said.

Marcelo was the best in the field of 12 competitors, which also featured Meralco’s Raymond Almazan.

He jokingly said that he had been practicing in a small hotel room.

Next up for the PBA are the 3-Point Shootout, the Slam Dunk Competition, and the Greats-Stalwarts exhibition game.
