As the seventh season of the drama began to take the cast of Hot house, Danielle Oliveraprovided fans with an insight into his relationship with his former best friend, Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke.
As teased in the trailer of the show, Danielle and Lindsay suffered a great fall out stemming from Lindsay’s shockingly “quick” relationship with their fellow costar, Carl, and it only grew worse with time.
Speaking to E! News, Danielle said that the rift started when Lindsay told her that she and Carl had become an item. At Summer House The star said that everything happened so quickly that it left her in “shock” and revealed that as Lindsay asked for her “blessing” she admitted that she could not give it to her.
“It started when she told me about her and Carl getting together, she really wanted my blessing at that moment and I couldn’t give it to her because I was so shocked,” Danielle told the outlet.
Danielle explained that she became like a “third wheel,” and that the trio’s changing dynamic was an impactful change that she “didn’t see coming.”
“It was intense,” she recalls, “and then they immediately moved in together and talked about marriage, and I was just like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa, pump the brakes.’ For me, there’s a lot to do.”
This change was so drastic for Danielle that she felt the need to step away from the couple all for her own sake and refused to make the relationship all about her.
“I just wasn’t ready to be that kind of person,” Danielle admitted. “I think that his own distance to try to process the changing dynamic made him feel like ‘Maybe he doesn’t like me and my relationship,’ which couldn’t be further from the truth. I think that two best friends getting together is a dream come true.
It was too late, according to Lindsay and Carl, as an engaged couple before it was revealed that they “did the best we could” to accommodate Danielle’s feelings, but she refused to give him a chance.
“Unfortunately, when you get into a more serious relationship, people focus too much and grow less, and it seems like Danielle is not fully supportive of that growth or change,” Carl previously told Entertainment Tonight . .
Danielle also did not hold an invitation to Lindsay and Carl’s upcoming wedding Fall, admitting that she believes “the ship may have sailed” in the hope of future reconciliation with the couple.
“[Lindsay] already told me that I was not invited,” Danielle revealed. “I think they’re waiting to see how it goes, but right now, I’m not involved.”
