Daniele Gates is Tired of New York: Why Can’t She Move Anywhere But the Dominican Republic?

In season 4 premiere of 90 Day Engagement: Another Waymost of the drama comes from just a few acquaintances.

Daniele Gates and Yohan Geronimo previously appeared in Love in Paradise: The Caribbean. The two are getting married in 2021.

Despite plans to move to New York, Daniele is tired of city life. He unilaterally decided to move to the Dominican Republic instead, covering for his wife.

Why did Daniele insist on killing Yohan’s American dream instead of, you know, moving literally anywhere in the US? they oath there is a good reason.

When Daniele and Yohan got married – more than a year ago, although this season could be filmed before their first anniversary – they had a plan.

Daniele will apply for a marriage visa.

She will continue to live in New York, where Yohan, her wonderful husband, will live with her.

Daniele’s life is in New York. Her work – in school and teaching yoga – is there. His friends were there too.

Meanwhile, this suits Yohan very well. According to him, life in his part of the Dominican Republic involves hard work and no reward – just making enough to get by.

Many Americans can picture their lives as they are now, but Yohan still sees an opportunity to build a real life for himself. Besides, he loves his little wife very much.

Before catching a flight to the DR during the premiere episode, Daniele sat down with her friends, Sandra and Lizzette. He seemed to brush aside his worries about what was to come, saying that he would “manifest” a new life.

(Honestly, we’d be happy if these two showed up Pillow Talk)

Both of them react with concern when Daniele admits that he doesn’t just want to go to DR, but Yohan doesn’t know. In fact, she thought she had already filed for her husband’s visa.

Daniele didn’t tell Yohan before flying to the Dominican Republic.

He and his wife were overjoyed. No matter how many differences there are, the attraction is very similar.

But one of the differences is the language. He has learned a lot of Spanish. Yohan slowly taught him English, but he only knew a little.

This meant that Daniele could say, right in front of him, that he had to find a way to tell her that he wasn’t going to New York.

Now, Yohan might not understand the whole sentence, but he heard his name and “New York” and he probably recognized a few other words.

However, Daniele still didn’t tell him.

First, Daniele gave us a hint of the beauty of the Dominican Republic.

Then, he started talking about how he wanted to find an apartment. Long term apartment. This Yohan is confused, understandably.

Finally, Daniele tells him that he wants to live in the DR with her. They unilaterally changed their plans as a couple. Also, he told me that his dream of succeeding in America is unrealistic. Why? Because his life in New York is very expensive.

Of course, many viewers were confused by this. Yohan wants to live in America with him, Daniele wants to leave New York City.

Why was his only choice to throw away his whole life and move to his country? In addition to the entire state of New York, there are 49 other states that are good. Plus DC and Puerto Rico. Like…just pick one?

Daniele took to her Instagram story to explain why she didn’t see this common sense solution.

“If I am [were] going to stay in the United States, of course to keep my pension,” said Daniele. “And this will only happen in New York.”

He suggested, “Imagine I move to Florida to teach there. I’ll start at minimum wage, with 20 years of experience. Daniele also mentions Florida’s dystopian nightmare of book bans and such. (Okay, but are there other places?) )

“I want to live in the second most populous place in the world,” Daniele said. He noted his desire to connect to the beach and nature in the DR. So…maybe this is what you want. But what about John?
